Where shall I start…the misshaped Mason Margiela pumps, the Coach wanna-be Western boots, or the Fleur de lis “let them eat cake” costume boots/pumps (what the heck are they) from Marc Jacobs. Sometimes the designers try so hard to create something that looks “different”, it end’s up looking cartoonish. There are several styles of shoes for the 2016 Spring season, including sneakers, boots and “flatforms”, flats on a platform sole. The Valentino Rockstuds collection has been hugely successful, bringing them a younger and hipper clientele. For Fall 2013 they’ve expanded the theme, and introduced tonal studs into the mix. It’s a bit reminiscent of Louboutin’s Spikes collection, but on the classic t-strap design it’s distinctly Valentino. The calling card design is part of the reason the Rockstuds pumps are so popular, it’s branding without the tacky labels. Red leather with all over tonal square shaped studs, these designer shoes have a classic Mary Jane style that make them a timeless addition to any wardrobe. They have a pointed toe and an adjustable strap at the ankle. The heel measures 2.5 inches. $1,195 Available here.
Jimmy Choo’s Fedora sandals are a shoe for all seasons. The colors are fall/winter, but the open design is perfect for warmer weather. Unlike tassels, the fringe on the front offers a bit of eye-catching movement without losing it’s shape. Wear with tailored shorts in the warmer months, leather leggings when it gets cold and a pedicure year round. Patent leather and red satin with short fringe on the front, these designer shoes will flounce with your every strut. They have a leather sole and in-sole. The heel measures 4.75 inches with a .4 inch platform. $1,050 Available here.
