Marc Jacobs Shoes Fall 2012

For Fall 2012, the Marc Jacobs shoes harken back to the days when the good ‘ol USA was just beginning and Pilgrims were breaking bread with the Indians. Of course his modern version of the pilgrim shoes are decked out with foliage, crystal buckles and other embellishments that define Mark Jacobs’ somewhat quirky style. However, even in metallic pink and luscious ostrich, these shoes look like they stepped off the Mayflower. Risky? Absolutely, especially in a still uncertain world climate where many people are sticking with the classic and practical when it comes to fashion. But if anyone can pull off a risky collection, it’s Marc Jacobs, and his gambles usually pay off.

Crystal buckled booties and loafers with thick, square heels are practical for daily wear, although the eccentric designs might be hard to pair with every look. But hey, in a season dominated by black boots and other boring styles, I’ll take the Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 shoes and fit them into my wardrobe any way I can.

Shoes Spring 2012: Color Story

Nicholas Kirkwood Neon Lace Pumps

I’m not the kind of person that wears a lot of brightly colored clothing. Every once in a while I’ll wear colored jeans or shorts and maybe sport a red blouse from time to time, but in general, I add color into my wardrobe with accessories. The brighter and more eye-catching the better, especially if it’s on something small like shoes or a clutch. Naturally, I am seriously loving these Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. The neon pink and yellow clash, but somehow it makes these pumps all the more appealing to my eye. Pair with the matching bag (by a different designer), but keep the rest of your look simple, preferably all black, to let your accessories stand out.

Giuseppe Zanotti Cuved Wedge Nude Pumps

I absolutely love nude pumps, they go with everything and they’re extremely flattering to any figure. They elongate our legs, making us look thinner, and who doesn’t love that? A nude pump is a nude pump, though, and it’s hard to put a unique twist on the design without eliminating their versatility. However, Giuseppe Zanotti made a fantastic, distinctive design with an element that sets it apart from your traditional nude pump. The curved wedge is a trademark of the Zanotti Spring 2012 collection, and is the distinctive element on this shoe.

Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Spikes

Here today…gone today. We all know Christian Louboutin junkies pounce when a new design is released, or even a classic design, but the rate these Lady Peep Spikes have sold out is ridiculous. They were released on-line this morning…and 5 hours later they’re almost completely sold out. There are a few sizes left, but if you’re a 37 (like moi) forget it.

The red soled shoes are always coveted, but the Lady Peep Spikes in gold is extra special. This shoe has bad ass chic written all over it. I would totally max out my budget to have these beauties in my closet, not that I could ever get my hands on a pair….
