These Alejandro Ingelmo shoes are from his summer 2009 collection and feature woven metal, in bronze, gold and silver. Alejandro said the idea behind this spring collection was to 'create purely feminine silhouettes with a contrasting edge.' I think he achieved his goal.

The tall cut out boot is called the 'preying mantis' shoe and it has a 5.5 inch platform heel that literally forms to your foot like a cage. AJ said, "I love it because you are not sure what it is when you see it.  Is it a boot? Is it a sandal? I call it the Preying Mantis because it really is a man eater shoe!” Fabulous!

The gold slingback is the Barberella shoe. That and the short preying mantis and is the only one available for sale to date. They are at at Brownsfashion.com, $660 and $952. I'll let you know when the tall preying mantis is available.

These shoes are FIERCE! It would take a more daring woman than myself to wear these Alejandro Ingelmo shoes. They are woven rose colored metal and black patent leather. They have a towering 6.5 inch heel, although the 2 inch platform will lessen the pain a bit. These shoes are available at the London based Browns, however you can order them online, $952. I'm not sure what sort of import tax would be imposed, though. Do any of you know how that works?

Why do the Europeans get the best shoes? As some of you may know, my new favorite shoe store is London based Browns. They are carrying the above Alejandro Ingelmo Bullet Shoe Boot which I absolutely love. They are sexy, edgy and ultra cool. The dusky pink leather has a peep toe, and the silver bullets trim the sling back. A zip fastening sits on the inside. It has a platform sole and a very fierce 5.5 inch high heel. These shoes reek with attitude. Love them! Outside of Europe you can order them on-line for about $585, plus the hefty import tax.

These shoes are so very fierce. They are Alejandro Ingelmo Thriller shoes, and with the strappy black patent leather and rear zipper, they have a bit of a S&M vibe. I think they would look great with a pencil skirt and simple blouse, where the shoes are the focal point of the outfit. They have a 4 inch heel. Only certain sizes are left at zappos.com $1,059.
