Christian Siriano debuted his Fall 2010 collection along with his Payless shoe collection on the runway this past Friday. Celebs sitting front row included Amber Rose wearing his Spring 2010 collection and Mena Suvari.

His inspiration for the shoe collection was from antique furniture from the 18th and 19th century with its filigree and clawfoot detailing.  A focal design from the runway collection is the Rocaille style, a platform pump featuring a signature artisan heel reminiscent of a clawfoot. The designs are great, but I can't help but think 'this has been done before - alot'. However, the shoe styles will certainly be something new and different for Payless. Last season they toned down his original designs so they would be more mainstream, but I hope they don't touch this seasons, it will be nice to see something so stylish available to the masses. The collection is expected in Payless stores in September 2010.

The Christian Siriano Spring 2010 Shoe Collection was very original and beautiful, exactly as I would expect. The shoes featured a conversely curved heel and an exaggerated platform. The platform is a bit reminiscent of Nickolas Kirkwoods signature platform in the spring 2009 collection, but I guess there is only so much you can do with a platform's shape. I really like the beautiful marble silk he uses in this collection, it allows the use of print without being the typical animal skin.

My favorite shoe from this collection is the gold and brown tone marble print with the sequined ankle strap (2nd picture). I love that the cut outs are barely noticeable due to the flesh colored tones in the material. The wide ankle strap is perfect with such a full coverage shoe and it has just the right amount of sequined detail, matching the sequin detail by the conservative open toe. Lastly, I like the flared ankle shaft revealing the beige leather lining.

I was a bit perplexed, however, that the shoes were more full coverage than usually seen in a warm weather collection. This trend isn't unique to Christian... alot of designers debuting their spring/summer 2010 collections include ankle boots and pumps. But this is only the first week, we have alot more to see.

Overall this collection is elegant and beautiful, and definitely recognizable as couture. So far, my favorite.

At the beginning of last year Christian Siriano made a contract with Payless shoes to design a collection of shoes and handbags for their stores in the Fall 2009. The designs were debuted on the runway this Spring, and they are absolutely fabulous! The collection includes sky scraping heels with spikes and chain details, for a somewhat bondage look, as well as Egyptian hieroglyphic images.  They aren't in the Payless stores yet, but recently they have been seen on the feet of lucky starlets. These fierce shoes will range in price from $25 to $45! I'm will definitely be buying some. Payless has never been so stylish!!

Honestly, I have never watched a single Project Runway show and had never heard of the winner from (last?) season, Christian Siriano. But he showed up at fashion week and debuted a fabulous shoe collection.

This pair is  It's professional meets punk rock and I absolutely love it!

These are more like city chic with street cred. Fab!

I love the bright blue interior of the booties. It's just the right amount of color. The top can be unzipped and folded down for more color.

These are just beautiful shoes. I love the profile with the thick angular shaped heel.
