Another hideous gladiator sandal, but this one is even worse than the Marc Jacobs one. They look like mens shoes. I can think of one 'holy' man who wore shoes like these...thousands of years ago. Why is this awful design still around? This particular Dolce & Gabbana Back-Zip Gladiator Sandal is especially ugly with the thong toe strap exposing all of the toes, just the toes. The insole is made with jute, one of the cheapest natural fibers and otherwise known as burlap. Can you imagine beautifully pedicured red toe-nails with these granola, man shoes? Funny. eLuxury, $1,075 as if.

Seems like there are sales everywhere lately, but that's good for us, right? Here are a few of my favorites.

These are Dolce & Gabanna peep toe tulle pump, on sale from $695 to $416. I just love this semi-transparent look. Christian Louboutin did this shoe also, but his isn't on sale.

This bootie is Claudia Ciuti Flora, and it also comes in black with the same metallic leather trim. Both are great - I love an open toe boot. These are on sale, $465 to $274.

This is the Via Spiga Novella boot, and they come in either this black suede or brown leather. The side tassel gives the boot a little eye catching movement. These are on sale from $425 to $253.

I'm shocked, and excited that these shoes are on sale already. They are the Burberry Ruched Cross Strap Pump and they are from the Fall 2008 runway collection. They are on sale from $695 to $415. There are alot of great Burberry shoes on sale, here are a few more.

Here I go again, I can't get enough of what we have seen from the 2009 Spring fashion shows. Dolce & Gabanna revealed funky, fun and tres chic shoes in their 2009 Spring collection. The details were all in the heels and platforms, while most of the shoes displayed had a very simple upper. We saw HUGE platforms and chunky heels. There were sequin covered wedges and a red sequin covered pump, reminiscent of Dorothy in Wizard of Oz. There were elaborate floral themed wedges paired with strappy gold sandals, there were funky modern print wedges paired with alligator strap sandals, and there were metallic silver and gold striped wedges with matching leather stap sandals. Some of my favorites were their black satin heels with fluffy bows and gold details. But the beautiful sky blue alligator shoes were my absolute favorite. I love the way the sole curves upwards toward the middle of the foot. It brings the eye to a rarely exposed, yet sexy part of a woman's foot. Also, the color is beautiful and croc is the ultimate in luxury. Even though these shoes are incredibly high, they appear easier to walk in than standard high heels, due to the flat bottom. With so much variety from this collection, I'll bet (and hope) we see a lot of Dolce & Gabanna on the streets next Spring.
