They're here! I have been waiting with baited breath for the Spring 2010 Dolce & Gabbana shoes. This collection is my absolute favorite of all the designer shoes offered for next season. The above fishnet and suede open toe shoe is finally available. This fabulous ankle boot has a tapered heel, rounded peep toe, hidden 1 inch platform and a 4.5 inch heel. I Die! Out of all the 2010 Spring/Summer shoe collections, the Dolce & Gabanna shoes were my favorite. They were all variations of sandals or pumps with attached hosiery, mesh, or fishnet, and all were fabulous. This is the first one I have seen hit the stores. It's a mesh peep toe and one of the more conservative designs in all black. It's an unbelievably chic shoe that can be worn by anyone and it's not necessarily a statement shoe. It has a 4.5 inch heel and is available for pre-order at Saks, $725.

I'm never sure what to expect with Dolce and Gabanna shoe collections. They are almost always over the top and not realistic for normal, everyday wear. This Spring/Summer 2010 collection, however, is fabulous in all of it's rocker, street chic. I love that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabanna used black lace and fishnet material instead of the overused stud trend to achieve their look. It's reminds me of new generation blogger meets 1985 Madonna.

The shoes have a purposeful, unfinished, unpolished look, a detail that extends to the sole of the shoe in some cases (Check out the sole in the 2nd picture below). The lace and fishnet addition works with the sandals as well as the more conservative pumps. Genius collection, I believe. This collection is sooo not my style, yet I must have a pair, preferably the burlap pump with the fishnet "sock".

Saks just got their Fall arrivals and below are some of the best boots in the collections. On a side note, the shoes and boots we get in the US department stores are always the more conservative designs, which bothers me. I often do posts from European stores because they simply have cooler shoes. Why? I want these without the import tax! Anyway, these boots are pretty cool.

These Dolce & Gabanna shoes are absolutely hideous. There is not a single shoe in this collection I would wear if they were given to me. Almost every design is a bulky wedge and those that aren't wedges are simply ugly or boring. And why do the shoes morph into the wedges? It looks like a giant, fat horse hoof. Also, every shoe in this collection except one is made with dull colored suede. Suede is okay as an accent, but it's such a flat, boring material for an entire shoe. The only shoe that could have been decent is the pink bootie, but who's going to want a bubble gum pink bootie. Bad overall.

For being clunky wedges, I really like these Dolce and Gabanna shoes. Wedge shoes are usually not my speed, looking too heavy and cumbersome, but that's not the case with these, designed in the pretty satin. These shoes are from the Dolce and Gabanna runway collection and have finally made it into stores. It has crisscrossing gold and black satin straps and gold leather piping. This eye-grabbing shoe has a 5.5 inch heel and a 1.2 inch platform. Available at LUISAVIAROMA.COM , $812.

From the runway to the streets, I wonder how many people will be brave enough to wear these Dolce & Gabbana shoes? I couldn't pull it off. They are part of the Spring/ Summer collection and are ready for purchase. The red pumps are so Wizard of Oz, I love it. The sequined wedge isn't too over the top, but it will definitely have every head in the vicinity looking, but most interesting is the shoe with the cut out sole. I don't think it would be necessarily more difficult to walk in, but a breeze on the sole of my foot may be a bit tickle-y. They retail between $536 and $625 at louisaviaroma.com.
