When this gorgeous Louis Vuitton shoe was debuted at the Spring/Summer runway show in October I was ecstatic. I can't wait for it to hit stores so I can run out and buy them. Today, while flipping through the January issue of Allure magazine, I came across an image of these shoes and their price. I was instantly extremely disappointed and astounded at the same time. $2,175 for this shoe! Puh-leeze. It's not even a boot! It doesn't have any gemstones on it, just wood beads and cheap bronze metal. I figured it would be around $1,200, but $2,175 is outrageous. So, I will not own these wonderful shoes. Will you?

Super model Heidi Klum was seen sporting the Louis Vuitton Wedge/Heels at the Victoris's Secret after party last Saturday night. The silk shoe is a wedge all the way to the heel, then stops and there is a sliver of space between the actual heel and the wedge. very interesting. If anyone can pull these shoes off, it's a supermodel.

This is the Louis Vuitton Picadilly Monogram Motard Platform Sandal in white, it also comes in black. It is monogram-embroidered silk satin with mirrored metallic leather trim. Interestingly, the shoes name was inspired by the major road junction in London's West End that's surrounded by tourist attractions and neon advertisements.  

I think this is a beautiful shoe, but the white isn't very practical for actual wear. The white colored silk will instantly pick up dirt. The black sandal is a more realistic sell for me. I hope to get my hands on them, but the price point's  a bit high. $1,060

Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton really scored big with his shoe collection at the Paris Spring 2009 runway show. As in his handbags, his shoes display an array of colors and textures in the same shoe. His use of round balls and cylinders to accent the shoes, as well as feathers and tassels would seem over the top, but somehow Marc Jacobs pulls it together to create a fabulous shoe. His collection reflects a fresh and funky approach to the growing trend of 'statement piece' shoes.
