The shoes for last week’s Michael Kors Spring 2009 collection were anything but discreet. Platforms and wedges were power-walking down the catwalk. The wedges with the cut out in the heel is slightly remniscient of the side way heel that were debuted in the Fall collections. In his attempt for artistry, Michael Kors left out an essential component in women's shoes, any possibility that a woman would want to wear them.
Not only are the wedges and heels way too big, they are ugly. Even the straps on the shoes are simple with no design features. These shoes look like Michael went to a Chinese sweat shop, picked up their sandals, and added a chunky heel/wedge. Will we actually see these in Neimans, and for how much?
