Fashion Week in every city thus far has been pretty boring, especially the shoes. If I have to look at another pair of close toed, simple pumps, I’ll cry. However, the Roberto Cavalli shoes for the upcoming Fall 2010 are pretty good. I like his use of animal prints and cut out details, and I love the irregular lace ups.

When I think of Roberto Cavalli I think super sexy and bright colors, so this Spring/Summer shoe collection was a bit surprising. It was somewhat demure and vintage-y. The wooden asymmetrical heels were in the couture vein, but hardly reminiscent of Cavalli's signature style. Cavalli called the collection "a hymn to a simpler lifestyle, far away from the limelight". Meaning shoes for the masses and not the few? I have to admit, I could see myself getting more everyday wear out of the shoes from this collection, even though I prefer his usual ultra sexy glamorous designs.

An upcoming Fall trend is very high thigh high boots. I'm a bit torn about this trend, because I like thigh high boots, but some of these are so high I don't know what to wear with it. A flowy dress perhaps? Flowy dresses are made of light material, spring and summer designs. I will have to wait and see what the designers pair it with to know if I like the overall look.

I love these Roberto Cavailli shoes. I love the beautiful pink silk, the T-strap design, and of course, the star embellishments. I think the little crystal studded stars are whimsical, but also eye catching. These fab shoes have a 5.5 inch heel and a 1.2 inch platform, so they will feel like a still high 4.3 inch heel.
