Camilla Skovgaard Mid-Calf Boots
It’s almost Fall and that means time for boots, but if you can’t decide between an ankle boot or a calf boot, these Camilla Skovgaard shoes are your solution. Not only is the shaft removable in two spots, converting them to ankle boots or lower calf boots, they sport the Skovgaard signature saw platform that is super eye-catching, but also slip resistant. It’s practical, yet chic.
Black pebbled leather boots with sherpa lining, these designer shoes will keep your feet warm in the cold weather. They have zip off panels at the shaft and snap closure. They have a hidden platform, covered wedge heel and the signature rubber saw sole. The heel measures 4.5 inches with a 1.5 inch platform for an overall, comfortable 3 inch pitch. Camilla Skovgaard Ankle Boots
Even though I have been talking about her for a few years now, Camilla Skovgaard is still fairly new in the world of designer shoes. However, her unmistakable style has propelled her popularity to a “must have” status among shoe connoisseurs and celebrity stylists. Every season she designs a shoe (usually several) I can’t live without, and this Fall I’m loving these soft taupe ankle boots. They don’t have the Skovgaard signature saw platform, but the sculptural rubber detail at the arch has a futuristic element that’s distinctive and super chic.
These Camilla Skovgaard shoes are pearlized leather platform booties that feature a metallic, pebbled leather heel cap and heel. They have a hidden platform and covered stiletto heel. The zigzag rubber sole prevents slipping. There is a zip closure at the inner ankle. The heel measures 5.25 inches with a 1.5 inch platform. They also come in black leather. $870 Available here

Camilla Skovgaard Ankle Boots
Camilla Skovgaard shoes are the avant guard in the world of designer footwear for her innovative and distinct style. Some of her shoes are quite unusual and hard to pull off in an everyday setting, but designs like these ankle boots are both extremely chic and practical. They sport her signature saw platform, which always makes an eye catching profile, and a slightly flared shaft, to further enhance the side view. The metallic color is neutral and can be worn with many looks, while the peep toe adds a sexy element that can go from day to night. Wear with leather pants or denim for a hot Fall look.
Metallic colored leather with crossing straps on the front of the foot and an open toe, these designer shoes are fairly simple in form, but added touches like the rubber saw platform and slightly flared shaft make a pointedly statement shoe. They have leather lining and in-sole, and a zipper closure at the back heel. The heel measures 4.75 inches with a 1 inch platform. Camilla Skovgaard Ankle boots
Yippee! The Fall 2011 shoes have arrived at Louisaviaroma, and there are tons of great shoes for next season, some from designers we know, like the above Camilla Skovgaard shoes, and some from new names. Some of my favorite designers *Nicholas Kirkwood* that delivered a less-than-stellar collection for Spring and Summer 2011, came through with flying colors for Fall.
Many big name designers, like Louboutin and Choo, have lowered their price points by about 20% in order to move more inventory during this recession when luxury good sales have been down. However some lesser known cobblers, although quite talented, like Kirkwood and Charlotte Olympia, didn’t get the memo. Their price points for similar styles are almost double, and it strikes me as a bit presumptuous.
The above designer shoes are taupe colored leather with criss cross straps up the front. They have a zip closure at the back ankle. The heel measures 4.75 inches with a .75 inch rubber, saw platform. $833 F/W 2011 NEW COLLECTIONS at LUISAVIAROMA.

Camilla Skovgaard Platform Sandals
A common element of Camilla Skovgaard shoes is they all cut a striking silhouette, whether it’s with her saw platform or a rubber wedge. These sandals are fairly simple, but they are still statement shoes, the likes of which we have come to expect from Ms. Skovgaard.
These sandals are bronze textured-leather with a heel that measures 6 inches with a 1.5 inch rubber platform. They have smooth leather panels at the back, a strap across the front and a open round toe. There is a rivet-embellished silver buckle-fastening ankle strap. $485 Available here.

Camilla Skovgaard Ankle boots
Every season, as shoes from Camilla Skovgaard collections start to trickle out, I pronounce one to be my absolute favorite and then later on I have to renege, because an even better design has been released. Such is the case with this ankle boot/sandal. A few weeks ago I said this ankle boot was the best of the season, but it has been outdone by the fabulousness we see above. Various elements make this boot great, from the many cutouts to the tubular straps across the front and ankle, not to mention the signature saw platform. Aside from the fantastic design, the platform is rubber to avoid slipping, an element I find quite handy when cocktails are on the itinerary.
These designer shoes are metallic leather with cut out details and a zip closure at the back heel. They have a 4.75 inch stiletto heel and a 1 inch rubber, saw platform. $598 Available here.
