Dolce & Gabbana Shoes Fall 2011

Dolce & Gabbana returned to a common theme with this Fall 2011 collection: masculine feminine mix. For the shoes that translated into pink or sequined oxford flats, and while that may be a good thing for some, I wouldn’t be caught dead in any oxford flats.

The other theme with this collection was music, and musical motifs, complete with star details, rounded out the rest of the shoe collection. These were mostly pointy-toed pumps with lower 3 inch heels, and while they are fun, with a youthful vibe, I expect more from the talented designing duo. These shoes reflect the whimsical nature of D&G more accurately than the more sophisticated Dolce & Gabbana brand, in my opinion.

Dolce & Gabbana Shoes Spring 2011

It is the 25th anniversary for Dolce & Gabanna so they wanted to represent the milestone with the blank slate of an almost all-white collection. It was inspired by “ the things new and handed down that a bride might pack before she sets off on the next chapter of her life“.

The shoe designs are very demure and pretty in mostly white with a few black styles. There is one design featuring clear crystals for a sparkling evening look (pictured above). There is also a leopard print sandal featuring a starkly contrasting white lace bow at the toe.

Overall I really like this collection, especially the crystal and chain sandals, however the black lace slingbacks with the pretty lilac strap are my favorite and may make their way into my closet.

Dolce & Gabbana Ribbed Knit Boots

I love the look of snug ribbed knit during the cold weather seasons, it’s flattering and cozy. These Dolce & Gabbana shoes look very snug and warm, but they’re also chic and a great style for Fall and Winter. However, being made of knit, they probably aren’t the best shoes for a snowy or rainy day.

These designer shoes are grey ribbed knit with a python covered heel and sole. They have a 4.3 inch heel. $748 Available here.
