Elizabeth and James Base Ankle Boots
If you love the look of a utility boot, but want something with more versatility, try these Elizabeth and James Base ankle boots. They have the lace up front and the rubber lug sole, but they aren’t as masculine as a traditional utilitary boot, yet you get the same concept. This is a great looking shoe, but it’s also practical, which is important if you plan on wearing them often. That rubber sole will be your best friend in icy weather.
Black pebbled leather with a lace up front and a back zippered closure, these designer shoes will make pounding the pavement more fashionable. They also come in blue suede, and both have a 4.5 inch heel and a .5 inch platform. Elizabeth and James shoes are made in Brazil. $395 Available here.

Elizabeth and James Sky Sandal
Elizabeth and James shoes are my ‘go to’ label when I want a current and stylish design, but don’t have the budget for Louboutin’s or Choo’s. Their shoes are well made and comfortable and always have a reasonable heel height, usually 4.5 inches or less. The collections are usually on the conservative side with shoes that would be acceptable in a business or social setting.
These shoes are black and brown distressed leather with elastic straps across the front of the shoe. They have a 4.5 inch heel. $354 Available here.
Elizabeth and James T-Strap Sandals
I have to admit that a notable up and comer in the world of designer shoes is the Elizabeth and James line from the Olsen twins. The designs are chic with a hint of boho and the overall effect is a distinct, statement look. These Elizabeth and James shoes are one of their more glamorous designs with tonal crystal details. I have a shoe very similar to this one (mine’s a Miu Miu circa ’08) and its’ discreet, yet shimmering crystals, are very eye catching, but not in an over-the-top, obnoxious way.
These sandals are cracked, black leather T-Straps with tonal crystal detail. They have a back zipper at the heel. They have a 4.25 inch heel and a .25 inch platform. $429 Available here.
