Gucci Shoes Fall 2011
The Gucci shoes for Fall 2011 are very rich, both in color and material. Snakeskin is on almost every shoe, either all over, like the above picture, or as a detail. This collection marks the 90th anniversary of the Gucci runway shows, the first being in the 1970′s, so Frida Giannini used elements from the era in this collection. For the shoes that translated into simple, round toe sandals with a slim ankle strap, T-strap sandals, and low-heeled riding boots. While the shoes aren’t showstoppers, they are classic in design and very lady-like. These are shoes that can be worn for many seasons to come.
Gucci Crystal and Silk Sandals
When I think of Gucci, handbags are the first thing that comes to mind. I love their bags, but in the past couple of collections, the shoes have caught my attention as well. Gucci delivers bright, strappy stilettos and crystal embellished sandals for Spring 2011. The latter (shown) is among my favorites from this season, with elegant champagne colored silk and sparkling Swarovski crystals.
These designer shoes are champagne silk sandals with iridescent crystal embellishment. The heel measures approximately 4 inches with a 0.5 inch platform. They have an open toe, cutout detail along the sides and a zip at the back of the heel with a designer-stamped leather pull tab. Gucci shoes are made in Italy. $1,055 Available here.
