Lanvin Hollow Wedge Heels

Sure a shoe can look good from the front and sides, but unless it’s a Louboutin with a shiny red sole, most shoes don’t look very impressive from the rear view. Not the case with the Fall 2011 Lanvin shoes. They have a gold frame wedge with a triangular cut out at the bottom center of the sole for an architectural element only seen from the back. Like many of the Lanvin Fall 2011 collection, these sandals have a simple upper, so the focal point remains where it should, on the wedge.

Pebbled leather heels in tan with gold tone hardware, these designer shoes have a gold wood heel with triangular cut out detail. They have a press stud buckle strap at the ankle and tone on tone stitching. The heel measures approx. 4.75” heel. Lanvin shoes are made in Italy. $1,590 Available here.

Lanvin Fishnet Pumps

Nothing says ‘femme fatale’ like fishnet, but while with stocking the look leans more into the ‘paid date’ territory, on shoes the material has a more modest sex appeal. The leather strap around the heel further emphasizes sex appeal with a nod to S&M. Without a doubt, these Lanvin pumps nail the va-va-voom factor.

These designer shoes are fishnet-covered pumps in black and a black leather wrap-around ankle strap with a single pin buckle and studded pull-through tab at the sides. It has brown suede underside at the approx. .75″ textured platform. They have a dark metal sole panel and a 4.75″ stiletto heel. Lanvin Snakeskin Pump Wedges

OK, if there were ever a shoe that I would be willing to sacrifice every ounce of comfort for, it would be these Lanvin wedge pumps. I would also throw my no-higher-than-5-inches rule out the window and file these under ‘valet shoes’, to only be worn from the valet to the table and back. However, once at the table, perch sideways in my chair so everyone can admire my shoes.

These shoes are sweet and sexy at the same time. The ballet inspired grosgrain ribbon tie at the ankle is the perfect balance to the snakeskin peep toe pump, and the cork wedge adds a whimsical element that completes the overall effect.

These designer shoes are dark-brown and cream snake-print leather pumps with a cutout cork-effect wedge heel that measures approximately 6 inches and a 1.5 inch platform. The Lanvin pumps have a peep toe, a nude self-tie grosgrain ribbon at the ankle and come in a designer-stamped signature blue box. Lanvin shoes are made in Italy. $1,120 Available here

Lanvin Puzzle Wedge Pumps

Are these not the cutest shoes? I love the ballerina inspired bow ankle tie. I’m usually not a fan of wedge soles, but done in this polished wood, puzzle design, I love it. The upper, black patent pump is a simple style, but paired with the ankle tie and wedge, it’s a very distict and chic design.

These designer shoes are black patent leather with a peach colored grosgrain ankle tie and partially wrapped wooden wedge. They have a 5.25 inch heel with a 1 inch platform. These shoes are from the Lanvin Resort 2011 collection and are available for pre-order. $1,280 Available here

Lanvin Plexi Glass Heel Sandals

I just showed you these Lanvin shoes last week, and I’m re-visiting them, because they are now on sale. All the spring and summer 2010 designer shoes are going on sale in preparation for the Fall 2010 arrivals.

This shoe is quilted leather with a black suede strap across the toes, and a black patent ankle strap. The thick gold chain hangs down the front of the foot and matches the gold buckle on the outside of the wrap around ankle strap. The platform sole is in leather and natural colored wood. A transparent plexi glass covers the stiletto heel, but stops above the ground revealing a gold metal nail. Incredible details! $858. Check out the sale at LUISAVIAROMA.COM

Designer Shoes for Fall 2010

Here are a few of the more interesting designer shoes we get to look forward to in the upcoming Fall 2010. However nothing really makes me super excited about these shoes. We will still see a lot of ankle boots, which is great, but also that damn double platform is sticking around. Note to designers for their next collection: I don’t want to look like a tranny or a hooker, please retire the huge platforms and 8 inch heels.
