Nicholas Kirkwood Nude Platform Sandals

This is Nicholas Kirkwood in his purest form. Not that the more mainstream pumps and ankle boots he did this season aren’t great, they are, but nothing makes me happier than a classic Kirkwood design. His architectural style is like no other, and always makes for a gorgeous, “wow” factor shoe like these platform sandals. The nude colored patent leather will flatter and elongate the legs, drawing further attention to the amazing shoes.

Nude colored, shiny patent leather with metallic nude straps and self tie at the ankle, these designer shoes are sexy and smart. They have strappy accents and cut-out detailing on the front, and a rounded cap with a peep toe. They have an island platform, and a slingback strap with an elasticized insert. Nicholas Kirkwood Suede Pumps

Nicholas Kirkwood is known for his architectural, and somewhat unconventional designs, but this Fall 2011 season it seems he’s going more mainstream. There are some of the overly embellished, architectural shoes we have come to love and expect from NK, but the collection mostly consists of closed toe pumps and wedges. Don’t get me wrong, the shoes are fabulous and each piece has an element that is pure Kirkwood, like the sliver of metallic pink above the heel in this suede pump. However, this collection is more mature and wearable, but not at all boring.

These designer shoes are eggplant suede, hidden-platform pumps. They have a metallic leather detail at the base of the heel and geometric optical illusion heels. Nicholas Kirkwood Shoes Fall 2011

I am a big fan of Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, although the Spring/Summer 2011 collection was quite disappointing. He totally made up for last season with his upcoming Fall 2011 designs. He goes back to his signature, unique and angular designs that have made him famous among celebrities and fashionista’s around the globe. The collection is vast with many different materials and embellishments to realize his creative style. Nicholas Kirkwood Rose Printed Pumps

A highly anticipated Nicholas Kirkwood Spring 2011 collection is finally starting to be released, but not fast enough in my opinion. The collection is fabulous, with a wide range of styles, but each distinctly Kirkwood. Whether it’s the architectural platform or the distinct cut outs, his signature is evident on every design. This season he did several pumps with rose printed silk, like the above shoes, and the results are fantastic. These shoes reflect the rare and beautiful, lavendar, thornless rose, a symbol of love-at-first-sight. (Valentines Day Gift Alert!!)

Nicholas Kirkwood Chiffon Rosette Sandals

I really like these Nicholas Kirkwood sandals. They are more femenine and pretty than his usual edgy designs, but they still have a distinctive element that is pure Kirkwood. When they are on the foot they appear to be an ankle boot from the front, but the cut outs at the bottom can be seen from the sides adding to a unique and appealing profile.

These designer shoes are light pink colored suede with chiffon rosette details on the vamp and sides. The have cut out details at the bottom sides of the foot and at the toe. They have suede covered heel and platform and a leather sole and insole. They have silver hardware, a 5.25 inch heel and a 1 inch platform.
