These Rock & Republic shoes are fabulous, even if they were done by a bigger name designer earlier this season. Normally I’m not crazy about copycat shoe designs, but with so many people on a budget during this hideous recession I’ll make an exception. Also Rock & Republic make great quality shoes, so even though these are Jimmy Choo look-a-likes it’s still a great shoe that will last for many seasons. Also it’s hundreds less than the Choo’s.

These designer shoes are black mesh with leather trim and all over crystal studs. They have a rear zipper at the ankle with a silver spike zipper pull. They have a leather sole and insole with silver metal brand detail on the sole. They have a peep toe and platform. The heel measures 5.5 inches with a 1.5 inch platform. $399  Available here

Rock & Republic Gwyneth Sandals

I have really liked the latest crop of Rock & Republic shoes. They have been sexy with a rocker chic appeal. These shoes are designed in a garter belt style, overtly suggestive, and I love them. They are black chiffon over nude colored leather, with black leather trim. They have a zipper closure with a metal spike pull on the inner side of the shoe. They have a 5 inch heel and a 1.25 inch platform. $379 at Zappos.com.
