Cheerleading is the ultimate girly girl activity, all that bubbly energy cheering on the boys while dressed in an adorable matching mini set. I was never a cheerleader (pep was hard to muster in my high school years), but I did envy the cute uniforms. Maybe that admiration is still there, because I’m totally digging these Charlotte Olympia pom pom sandals. I absolutely love a brightly colored, eye catching shoe, and nine times out of ten I’ll pick something with some color over basic black footwear. That is, unless it’s a Christian Louboutin. Black is my favorite color for a Louboutin because it’s the best color to contrast and highlight the beautiful red sole.

Thin straps and a flat bow at the toes, these sandals are feminine sexy. Wear to a formal event or just an evening out for a glameorous look.

Christian Louboutin can do know wrong in my eyes, and these Un Bout pumps are just another example why. They’re both sexy and sweet, and they offer a pop of color that can pull together tons of different looks.

DSquared Azteque Sandals

Feathers seem to be everywhere these days, from our hair to earrings, and now DSquared extended the trend to our feet with their Azteque sandals. DSquared is never one to shy from from adventerous designs, and sometimes they have too much going on and miss the mark. However, the Azteque is perfectly balanced and a great take on the Central American culture.

As the name implies, they have a distinct ethnic look. Set with native gemstones and gold studs, they have an anchient Mayan goddess look, while the dangling feather charm at the ankle adds a bit of playful sex appeal.

Marc Jacobs spring 2012 collection is all about making classic style shoes unique with unconventional color combination, and as usual, the result is a distinctive, somewhat campy design.

Thakoon Tribal Sandals

I do love a great tribal inspired sandal. Louis Vuitton did a great African inspired collection back in ’08, but I haven’t seen anything worth mentioning since. That is, until I came across these Thakoon  sandals. The finely arranged geometric lines bound with brass rings, juxtaposed against the bright red straps make for sandals worthy of the spotlight. Pair with something simple and monochrome and let the sandals shine.
