Designer Shoes: Reviews and Discussion

I’ve never met a Christian Louboutin Lady Peep that I didn’t like, especially the Spikes version, but these made with denim are the exception. Denim is for casual wear and should only be worn in the form of jeans or a jacket. ¬†I can sometimes tolerate a denim a mini skirt, but putting the rugged textile on a Lady Peep is sacrilege. No, just no. The silver tone spikes on the shoes somewhat offsets the denim where they could pass for a blue pump, but then why not use blue leather? I know a lot of you are going to disagree and may even wear these shoes, but dear gawd, please don’t pair them with blue jeans. Denim with white leather trim and all over silver spikes, these designer shoes have a peep toe. They have a leather in-sole and signature red sole. The heel measures 6 inches with a […]

B Brian Atwood Pumps

Nude pumps are flattering, very versatile, and usually the shoe I grab when I don’t want to think to much about coordinating my outfit. Whatever I’m wearing, they will work. That’s why I always love a nude pump that has a little something going on to make it stand out, but without taking away from it’s go-with-anything versatility. These B Brian Atwood Ferranta pumps are just such a shoe. The eye catching crystals on the back of the heel add a little shimmer and shine to an already great pump. It works with denim, skinny leather or a dress, but the boardroom…stick with the non-embellished version. Suede with various shaped crystals embellished on the heel, these designer shoes come in both nude and black. They have leather lining, sole and in sole. The heel measures 5.5 inches with a 1.5 inch platform. $450 Available here.

I love Brian Atwood for his gorgeous shoe designs, but I especially love that he makes a less expensive, yet equally beautiful, collection that’s accessible¬†to more people. It’s a trend that many high end designers have jumped on board, including Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana. Brian Atwood is the first exclusively luxury accessory designer, but let’s hope some others follow suit. These B Brian Atwood ankle boots are the latest sandal to have an almost entire fishnet upper. I really like the look, it’s sexy and stylish, but also practical for really hot weather. They come in black and also in white, and while I could envision wearing either with tons of different looks, the white ones are my pick. Not everyone can pull off white shoes, regardless of the season, but if you can the look is really hot. Black or white mesh with patent leather […]
