Did anyone even know who Kira Plastinina was until promotions for her reality show began airing on MTV? Think about it and don’t lie. If your curiosity has gotten the best of you and you’ve now joined a million other people, I have some minor details. It isn’t really a question of whether she’s rich, spoiled, and living off the heels of lucky status and nepotism, because clearly that’s the case, the question is is she talented as a young designer. What do you think? Is she the next Stella McCartney? If the recent runway collection she revealed at Milan Fashion Week has anything to say for her future, we’d say she has a solid one when it comes to shoes. These may be reinterpreted for the ready-to-wear collection, but we like the wild, bold, and gaudy look of color, wedge, and gathered satin. The jury is still out on the character of the designer, but right now we’re digging the designs.
