Burberry Woven Wedge Ankle Boots

There are two reasons December is my favorite month of the year. First, it’s Christmas time and the weather is cool, and living in Dallas I relish the cool weather when it’s sweltering hot most of the year. The other reason I love December is the Spring collections start being released, and it’s gift time, so I can usually pick one and have it before the season even begins.

These beautifully woven wedge ankle boots are from the Burberry Spring 2012 collection and they simply set my heart a flutter. What says Spring more than basket-like weaving? Woven brown leather with self tie leather strings at the ankles, these designer shoes have a woven raffia black and white striped wedge platform. They have an open toe and a zipper closure at the inner ankle. They have a 5.1 inch heel with a 1.15 inch platform. $1,495 Shop the Spring 2012 accessories here.

Alice & Olivia Penelope Suede Boots

Here you are ladies, get in the fox fur trim boot trend for the season without costing an arm and a leg. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the beautiful fox fur trim boots from Louboutin and Choo, but their versions are upwards 2k. Alice & Oliva designed these gorgeous sued ankle boots with real fox fur for far less, and sorry PETA, but the faux fur just doesn’t look the same.

Grey suede with fox fur trim, these ankle boots will have you hot to trot all season long. They have a leather sole and in-sole and a zip closure at the back ankle. The heel measures 5 inches with a 1.5 hidden platform. $495 available here.

DSquared Ice Skate Boots

These shoes have been out for a few weeks now, but frankly, I’ve been hesitant to cover them because I’m not sure how I feel about them. I’m a big fan of the novelty glamour shoe, but even the haughtiest shoe lover may have a hard time strapping on these ice skate ankle boots. They, literally, will be mistaken for actual ice skates by the general public. I guess that’s the “novelty” of it.

A classic lace-up calf-leather ankle bootie on a stacked stiletto heel, even with a side zip for pull-on convenience, these designer shoes are nothing if not head turning. Set on a 2.5 inch rubber platform of thin blades, the heel measures 6.5 inches. DSquared shoes are made in Italy. $1,486 Available here.

Christian Louboutin Fringed Ankle boots

Every girl needs an everyday, basic, black boot for Winter, but I for one can’t stand the totally boring, plain leather knee high boots that are the standard of the season. There needs to be a detail here or there that not only makes them stand out, but brings a more stylish element to the shoe. Cue the Christian Louboutin fringed ankle boots. They are versatile enough for everyday wear with almost any look, but the fringe gives the boot movement and an eye-catching flair.

Black suede ankle boots with a back zip and stitched suede fringe trim around the ankle, these designer shoes are a stylish, cold weather essential. They have a slightly pointed almond toe with a double stitched seam detail down the front. Jeffrey Campbell Grayson Ankle Boots

Want a super chic, eye-catching ankle boot for Fall? Look no further, Jeffrey Campbell’s fall shoes are amazing, and this Grayson ankle boot is just one of them. His shoes are well made, ultra cool, and very affordable. From a design perspective, these boots look very similar to the Fall 2011 Balenciaga shoes, but the Jeffrey Cambell’s are a fraction of the cost.

Tan colored, textured leather with an open heel and an elasticized strap at the ankle, these ankle boots have a wooden heel with architectural detail. They have tone on tone stitching, leather sole and in-sole. The heel measures 4 inches with a .5 inch hidden platform. $185 Available here.

Victor & Rolf Two Tone Ankle Boots

Earlier this week I showed you the Victor & Rolf two tone pumps and many of you loved them, so here is a very similar shoe, also by Victor & Rolf, but in a split shaft ankle boot. The contrasting colors and materials have beautiful chemistry, and perfectly compliment the other for an overall bold and dramatic shoe. These ankle boots will garner a lot of attention, so pair with clean lines and neutral colors and let the shoes be center stage.

Contrasting red suede and black patent leather meet in the middle seamlessly thanks to quality top stitching on these designer shoes. They have a split shaft, leather sole and in-sole.
