Oscar De La Renta Shoes Spring 2012
I’ll be bringing you the shoes from New York Fashion Week and the European Fashion Weeks as they become available. The shoes from the Spring 2012 Oscar de la Renta collection are absolutely gorgeous. They fell into two categories: classic and elegant De La Renta, with silk bejeweled mules fit for a queen, and trendier, more youthful designs like the clear Oxford-style sandals. The collection included a little bit of everything, offering a shoe for any and every occasion for the die hard De La Renta fans. Among others, there is a strappy wedge ankle boot for casual wear, a classic pointy toed pump for business or church, and a rhinestone and mesh ankle boot for formal wear. An overall fantastic offering of footwear for Spring 2012.
Badgley Mischka Lissa Pumps
Whether you are getting married, have a formal event to attend, or just want to feel like a princess, the Badgley Mischka Lissa pumps will fit the bill. These open-toe rhinestone beauties are classic feminine, and while they scream wedding shoe they could also be thrown on with a LBD for a night out or a summery floral skirt to a romantic evening event. They come in many colors and may not be versatile enough for everyday wear, but they are very pretty.
These pumps are platinum toned leather with a rhinestone ornament at the open toe. They have a leather sole and in-sole. The heel measures 4.5 inches with a .5 inch platform. $169 Available here.

Casadei Swarovski Crystal Embellished Pumps
I love, love, love crystal embellished pumps, and the more crystals the better. The only cobbler to do an all-over crystal-embellished pump thus far is Christian Louboutian, and while they are absolutely stunning, they are also extremely pricey, retailing at well over 3K. These Casadei crystal embellished pumps are equally as gorgeous as Mr. Louboutins’, but at a much lower price point. And I have to admit, I’m loving the nude crystal embellished pumps even better than the jewel toned versions offered by CL.
These gorgeous designer shoes are nude colored leather with all-over Swarovski crystal embellishments. They have a peep toe and leather sole and in-sole. The heel measures 5.1 inces with a 1.2 inch platform. Casadei shoes are made in Italy. $1,600 Available here.
Christian Louboutin Glitter Peep Toe Pumps
My main shoe man Christian Louboutin does these glitter peep toe pumps every year or so, usually as part of the pre-Fall or Fall collection, and they always sell out very quickly ( I have been too late and missed out on many a pair of Louboutins). I totally understand, though, they are a fabulous shoe. It’s a pretty peep toe, and the glitter isn’t neutral, but they are close enough to a nude color that they can be worn with many-a-looks. I think they look fantastic with the sexy Dolce & Gabbana dress below.
These designer shoes are gold and multicolor glitter platform peep-toes. They have a covered high heel and a rounded cap. They have a leather in-sole and the signature red sole. The heel measures 6 inches with a 1.5 inch platform. Christian Louboutin shoes are made in Italy. $805Available here.

Manolo Blahnik Hangisi Jeweled Pumps
I’m often asked why I don’t write about Manolo Blahnik shoes, and there’s really no reason other than the fact that his designs don’t really inspire me. He does a lot of pointy toes and low heels, which I find rather boring. That said, his designs are classic with an air of sophistication. This shoe, the Hangisi, was made famous by Carrie Bradshaw in the first Sex and the City movie, and I have to admit it’s a beautiful shoe.
These designer shoes are grey satin pumps with glittering crystal details at the pointed toe. They have a leather sole and in-sole. The covered heel measures 4 inches. $945 Available here.

Giuseppe Zanotti Leopard Silk Sandals
Giuseppe Zanotti designed this fabulous sandal in black and nude earlier this year, and now he brings us leopard print. I absolutely love the sandal in any color, but the leopard print gives the already-center-stage shoe extra oomph. Like I said before with this sandals, the bow at the ankle is so large it shouldn’t be anywhere near a hemline, as the effect would be frumpy. However, they are perfect for crisp shorts or a mini dress.
These designer shoes are leopard print silk with a suede back heel quarter. They have a zipper at the back heel. The ankle bow is stitched and does not come un-done. The heel measures 3.25 inches. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes are made in Italy. $850 Available here.
