Camilla Skovgaard Ankle Boots

I rarely meet an ankle boot I don’t love, but add a Camilla Skovgaard distinctive element and I’m completely helpless to their charm. The ankle boot trend is staying strong through next Spring 2012, which is fine by me, as I can rationalize my purchase on a shoe I can wear year round. Black leather shoes don’t make a big visual statement, and the neutral color and lack of embellishments make for a multi-seasonal shoe that goes with everything. However, these boots are anything but boring, the diagonal cut out at the ankle and the architectural platform make them a striking shoe.

Black leather with a rounded toe and a diagonal cut out at the ankle, these designer shoes are sex appeal in a heel. With a sky high 5.5 inch heel, the 1.5 inch hidden platform will lessen the pain somewhat, but I wouldn’t exactly call these walking shoes. Gypsy Soule Aurora Winter Boots

You may know the brand Gypsy Soule from their blinged out flip flops, but now they have added winter boots to their expanding line of crystal detailed accessories. Personally, I can’t get enough of crystal detailed anything, so long as the crystals are Swarovski. Anything less looks like dull plastic, where Swarovski’s crystals shimmer and shine in any light. Gypsy Soule only uses the best…all Swarovski, all the time.

Brown suede winter boots with shearling lining, these designer shoes have a large, alligator embossed leather cross surrounded by round Swarovski crystals. There are vintage pyramid square studs that embellish the cross. They have a lightweight and durable EVA sole. $510 Available here.

Givenchy Thigh High Boots

A thigh high boot is always sexy, and these are perfection. The elasticized jersey make your legs look skinny while keeping you warm in the cold weather, but since they’re not as haevy as leather, you won’t be sweating when you’re indoors. The thin gold band add just enough ornamentation to the otherwise, very streamlined boot, and sets it apart from other basic black boots.

Thigh-high black jersey boots with a gold-toned bracelet detail around the foot, these designer shoes will be a winter staple. They have a pointed cap, black leather covered heel, and leather in-sole and sole. Givenchy shoes are made in Italy. $1,085 Available here.

Alice & Olivia Penelope Suede Boots

Here you are ladies, get in the fox fur trim boot trend for the season without costing an arm and a leg. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the beautiful fox fur trim boots from Louboutin and Choo, but their versions are upwards 2k. Alice & Oliva designed these gorgeous sued ankle boots with real fox fur for far less, and sorry PETA, but the faux fur just doesn’t look the same.

Grey suede with fox fur trim, these ankle boots will have you hot to trot all season long. They have a leather sole and in-sole and a zip closure at the back ankle. The heel measures 5 inches with a 1.5 hidden platform. $495 available here.

Ugg Boots New Collection

Unless you live in southern Florida you probably have a pair of Ugg boots. For me, they’re a winter staple. They slip on and keep my feet toasty warm. However, no one’s saying they’re the most flattering boots, which is why Ugg has developed a more fashion friendly line of boots. Like the above Donata boot, the new collection has some high heels and  leather outers, but are still lined with the warm shearling fur for which Ugg is famous. The collection has tall boots, ankle boots, high heels, mid-heels and low heels.

Over the knee boots in tan colored leather, these Ugg boots can be turned down to any desired height or zipped all the way up for versatile looks. It has shearling lining and a rubber sole for traction on slick surfaces. It zips up the back. Check out the Ugg collection here.

Christian Louboutin Marisa Studded Boots

I love the look of biker boots, but I’m not crazy about the flat bottoms (I’m a heel girl), and so I was thrilled that, finally, we get a killer, studded biker boot with a flattering high heel. I’m not at all surprised the boot was designed by Christian Louboutin, as he creates fabulous shoes every season. The silver studs and over-sized buckles scream “biker boot”, while the stacked heel and red sole are super feminine.

Black leather with silver stud details and roller buckles at the ankle and side, these designer shoes are the perfect combination of style and wear-ability. The tall leather shaft on these Marisa boots can be worn loose if you need to tuck in pants, or pulled tight for a more snug fit. The stacked block heel offers sturdy support for the sizeable pitch on these boots. The heel measures 5.5 inches with a .75 inch platform. They pull on, have a leather in-sole and signature red sole.
