Designer Shoes: Reviews and Discussion

Posts Tagged: womens boots

And we have another luxury goods designer with a moderate priced line. They seem to be coming out of the wood works! Not that I’m complaining…it means really cool designs are more accessible to more people, but it’s also a sign that the global economy isn’t getting better. 10 Crosby Derek Lam, by Derek Lam, are very similar in style to his signature line, so much so, I wonder if it’s just the price point that’s different. Well, that and the label. Speaking of the label, it’s quite a mouthful, 10 Crosby Derek Lam. I think he could have dropped a syllable or two in the name, but I’ll take it if it means I can get his wonderful designs for hundreds of dollars less. Black leather with nude colored suede, these ankle boots have a zippered closure at the front vamp and an open toe. They also have a […]

Carvela Kurt Geiger

I’m a big fan of Carvela Kurt Geiger shoes for many reasons; they’re stylish and unique in design, they’re great quality, and they are reasonably priced. I’m especially loving these biker boots, and I’m not a biker boot girl, however this year will be a first. The strap wrapping around the shaft and the lock and key details give these boots the “it” factor that make for a must have. Pair with skinny denim or leather leggings for a super cool look. Black leather with gold tone hardware and buckle, these designer shoes have padlock, key and chain details. They have a rubber, lugged sole and leather in-sole. The heel measures 1.75 inches with .6 inch platform. $290Available here.

Casadei Strappy Knee Boots

There is sexy, and there is bondage inspired, S&M dominatrix. I lean toward the former, and while these Casadei boots aren’t something I could see in my wardrobe, I think they could look really good with certain looks. Leather leggings and a billowy button down, for example. The casual top and tonal bottom makes for a seamless transition to these very “look at me” boots. As long as there’s not a lot of skin shown when you’re wearing them, these boots can be a chic addition to your fall wardrobe (but leave the whip at home). Black leather belted knee boots, these designer shoes have gold tone hardware, an open toe and a blade heel. They have a leather sole and in-sole. The heel measures 4.75 inches with a .75 inch platform. $1,900 Available here.

I can’t imagine a summer day cool enough to wear these gorgeous boots here in Texas, but in early spring or vacation in a cooler climate, these boots would get a lot of wear. I love the movement from fringe on any shoe, but it’s extra pronounced when it’s going up half your leg. All that movement is very eye-catching, combined that with the bright white leather and these boots are bona fide head turners. Wall flowers need not apply. White leather with fringe on the outer side and an open toe, these designer shoes are white hot. They have a leather sole and in sole. The heel measures 5 inches with a .25 inch platform. $1,695 Available at LUISAVIAROMA.COM.

Michael Antonio Ankle Boots

Since we’re all about to be a lot poorer I thought I would shoe you a inexpensive, but fantastic, shoe today. These are Michael Antonio boots and they feature everything we love about designer shoes, cut outs, eye-catching colors, and chic style. But these boots won’t break the budget. At $149 you can get them in all three colors (they come in navy and moss). Available here

Miu Miu Mixed Media Ankle Boots

It’s just now getting to get cold where I live, so I’ve been pulling out my winter gear and I have to admit my boot collection is pretty boring. Black, brown and nude. I don’t know why I’m so conservative with boots when it’s the brighter the better in all other manner of shoe. Now, I’m never going to sport an electric blue thigh high, but this year I resolve to make my boot collection more interesting. These Miu Miu mixed media boots are are great way to spice up my wardrobe for fall/winter. They bring color without being obnoxious. The pink at the bottom of the platform and the bow detail create a girl-y element, but the contrasting brown snakeskin and darker suede balance it out. Snakeskin embossed leather and suede with red and pink platform, these designer shoes offer a dose of color without being overpowering. They have […]
