B Brian Atwood Fringe Sandals

Brian Atwood’s new, less expensive line, B Brian Atwood is just as wonderful as his original line but at a more affordable price. No, he’s not going the Marc by Marc Jacobs or McQ by Alexander McQueen and giving us pretty good designs, thinking we’ll eat them up just because they’re under a famous and renowned designer. Nor is he changing his style for the lesser priced brand, the B Brian Atwood shoes are sexy and sophisticated.

Light pink metallic leather with chain fringe, these designer shoes will make you want to dance the night away. They have a dual ankle straps with able buckle closure, a leather sole and in-sole. The gold tone stiletto heel measures 4.5 inches. $425 B Brian Atwood shoes are here.

Giuseppe Zanotti Curved Wedge Sandals

The warm weather seasons dominate wedge shoes, but who want to be another face in the crowd with a plain wedge when you can stand out with the Giuseppe Zanotti curved wedge sandals. Obviously it’s the silhouette that’s most striking on these shoes, but the vivid purple suede further adds to the “wow” factor. While these aren’t a typical day to night shoe, they will be fabulous during the day or for a casual evening out (and we like to look fabulous even when we’re going casual).

Purple suede with a natural wood curved wedge, these designer shoes are stature enhancing delights. With a leather sole and in-sole, these sandals will put you up over half a foot, 6.25 inches with a 1.75 inch platform. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes are made in Italy. $895 Available here.

Burberry Beaded Sandals

I don’t know if it’s because we haven’t had a Winter to speak of here in Dallas or if I’m just incredibly tired of seeing boots everywhere, but I’m already starting my Spring shoe purchases and I can’t resist these Burberry sandals. Embellishments always add more pizazz to shoes, but this season instead of sequins and crystals, designer footwear is taking on a more arts and crafts feel, and I’m unexpectedly delighted (I like to keep my crafts in projects). These crafty wooden beads on these sandals have a slightly tribal feel, but with Mediterranean color tones they are more resort chic than African safari.

Black leather platform sandals with a turquoise patent leather covered heel and multi wood-beaded strap at the ankle, these designer shoes will drape your foot with vacation time ease. They have a T-strap at the front and double straps around the ankle with gold-toned buckles. They have a 4.75 inch heel with a 1.25 inch platform. $795 Burberry is here.

The Best Shoes for Spring 2012

Jimmy Choo Spring 2012

This was a very hard list to make and there were many fantastic and beautiful shoes that could also be on the list, but I narrowed down my personal favorite shoes from the Spring 2012 collections. Some of the designs that are on this list are simply beautiful, while others are unique and innovative. The common theme in the Spring shoes is the use of bright color, but other than that, each label has their own, distinctive style, which make this season a shoe lover’s dream.

Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes Spring 2012

Even the best designers have off seasons, and as much as I love Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, the past few seasons and the upcoming Spring 2012 collection is a bit ho-hum. It’s not that every single shoe is ugly or plain, but I’m used to seeing amazing work from Zanotti and nothing has stood out recently. I do like his use of bright colors for the Spring 2012 collection, like in the above pumps, but the shoes themselves are very simple in design. His price points demand eyecatching and innovative designs, and that’s something we just don’t see this season. To Zanotti’s credit, he did make some interesting sneakers with hidden wedge heels, however I’m not exactly a sneaker kind of girl. Here’s a look at some of the Spring 2012 collection and you can see more here and here:

Alejandro Ingelmo Strappy Ankle Boots

I love nude colored footwear… pumps, sandals, boots or ankle boots, doesn’t matter. They all have the same leg elongating effect, and the higher the heel, the longer my legs will look. So naturally I’m obsessed with these nude colored Ajejandro Ingelmo ankle boots. While I would usually shy away from a 5.5 inch heel, these have a 1.5 inch platform for a more modest 4 inch pitch, and the sturdy wedge heel is much easier to walk in than a 5.5 inch stiletto. Translation: I could wear these after a few cocktails and not fall and break an ankle.

Nude colored shiny patent leather with suede trim, these designer shoes are a sandal/ankle boot hybrid. While they have the look of an ankle boot, the strappy upper will keep your feet cool in hot weather. They have rubber inserts on the sole to hinder slipping. Wear with a short hemline for ultimate leg elongating effect. $973 Alejandro Inglemo shoes are here.
